Another post on a 21-year-old musician. I had intentions of posting this months ago but never got around to it. Now that this summer heatwave has been briefly interrupted by a gloomy drizzle of rain, I feel it is an appropriate time to unearth this elegiac electronic dirge from James Blake's 2011 self-titled release.

Bibio caught my attention about a year and a half ago when I first heard his infectious lo-fi funk song "Jealous of Roses" (right click and "save as" for free download.) Since then, I've been exploring this soloists pretty extensive catalogue which only dates back to 2005, and blends a mysterious mixture of folk and electronica. On March 29, he released his latest album "Mind Bokeh," which this song is taken from. Not only is it the closing track to the record, but in my opinion, the best one.

The Flying Lizards "Her Story"

I've been sick and overworked recently but that does not mean I haven't been listening to good music. Currently I'm all ears for anything Flying Lizards. "Her Story" has my attention because I'm also a Roots fan and love that they (heavily) sampled this experimental rock song from the 70's.
